Cally Gardens
15th October, 2008
This is the third plant I want to feature from Cally gardens. www.callygardens.co.uk.
This is a hardy Fuchsia named 'Logan Woods' and is particularly attractive with its white tipped petals. It has proven to be very hardy with me at Barningham and I find it a delightful little plant. I believe Michael found it on a trip to Logan Woods...hence the name I assume. You will find many more rare and unusual plants on the website, lots of information in the catalogue, and some highly interesting accounts of plant hunting expeditions. For a long weekend away you could do no better than visit Logan gardens and the coast around the peninsula, but make Cally the prime target, it is a jewel in the box for anyone that appreciates unique and interesting plants gathered and grown by a true plantsman with the courage of his conviction that plants are for everyone and nature should not be subject to copyright or ownership by anyone, least of all those who put profit before passion and dosh before diversity.
