To add a balanced view of yesterdays plant, I am showing today a photograph taken earlier in the year of the flower (bracts) on the same bush, I had intended to write up the journal to include this image about late June, however I never seemed to get on with it. The plant was literally covered in these blooms, looking like a thousand butterflies had landed at one stage it was difficult to see any leaves at all, it was a magnificent display and lasted a good six weeks or more.
