The White Joe Pye

7th November, 2008

The White Joe Pye
The Journal entry for the 6th October referred to the stately 'Purple Joe Pye Weed' correctly call 'Eupatorium maculatum Atropurpurea'. Today's image is the much rarer 'Spotted White Joe Pye Weed' or 'Eupatorium maculatum Album' which, while not really having the density of flowerhead, is nevertheless an interesting addition at the bak of your border. Reaching about five or six feet my particular plant is growing and thriving well in half shade.
