For Posterity
9th November, 2008
It is nice to see young trees. The beech trees in today's image are at the entrance to Barningham Park, the home of the Milbank family. It is obvious from the age of the trees they were planted for posterity. Knowing Anthony and Belinda Milbank it does not surprise me, their eye to the future and love of their estate and its sustainability is actually quite inspiring. It is easy to knock landowners and suchlike, and I am always happy to oblige and put the boot in, however, thankfully there are those to whom it is impossible to be negative about, their drive and conservational spirit is obvious, and whilst their reasons may be different from a large section of the community not into conservation for the sake of shooting or otherwise killing things, often, as in this case, the means justify the ends.
