Woodpeckers

This little fellow was thinking 'If I don't look at him he won't see me', this is a greater spotted woodpecker and he (or she) had flown into the glasshouse yesterday and was considerable less than happy. Last week it was a green woodpecker in the same position, unfortunately I never had a camera to hand, which was a pity as it is rare to actually see the green ones let alone have one perched in your rosebush. The news is all about high winds, gales and floods, all unnecessary drama for dramas sake, it really is nothing more than should be expected.
