Images from The Savill Garden 8/8

One of the many treescapes. The place is full of interesting and unusual trees. Stuff Capability Brown, there is nothing boring or bland here. Every corner holds the plantsmans attention.
If I had to give any negative feedback it would be 2 things.
1) The plant sales area was absolute rubbish, a few nice and interesting things but not a millionth of a reflection of the gardens in which it is found. It has been almost tagged on as an afterthought. With so much raw material to use the possibilities are boundless.
2) The restaurant is situated in a beautiful building, but the staff looked bored shitless and the floor and some of the tables were not clean. The food was ok but overpriced, especially soft drinks which were about the same as a motorway service station.
These things are froth, the gardens, which is what we go there for as gardeners or plantsmen (I can't say plantspersons) are quite simply magnificent.
