The Long Wait

24th February, 2011

The Long Wait
After four hours fixated on a mouse hole this weird little Jack Russell spent the following two hours in a vain attempt to 'dig' the bugger out. She also knows that when she's covered in mud or dirt she gets 'troughed'......that is submersed in a water trough. Eleven years old and with two baths to her name, Molly has been troughed many hundreds of times.....she never learns, the thought of a bone crushing bite on a small furry mammal is just too ingrained into her massively instinctive brain.

The look says it all really, disappointment, despondency, and an overwhelming pissed off feeling. However I can assure the reader that her mood improved appreciably and speedily with a rabbit dinner.....and there is always tomorrow.
