Acer palmatum 'Flavescens' (dissectum) (Japanese Maple)

Common Name

Japanese Maple

Soil

Any non alkaline soil. Correct light more important

Aspect

Sun or partial shade

Height

6-8ft mound

Action and Timing

The yellow green of this dissectum is quite distinct from others. It will green up during summer then produce startling orange tinged yellow in autumn, making a wonderful mound of 8ft in any light.

Nursery Notes

Grafted plant

Opinion

Courser foliage than viridis, but perhaps stronger growing without the subtle refinement....perhaps better more northerly. Fine plant all the same.
