Action and Timing

The name means “Lions Mane” And describes the bunched up, conspicuously crinkled leaves of this form beautifully. A slow growing, tightly compact plant with bright green foliage holding its colour, then gold suffused with rose and crimson tones in autumn; A striking plant to 15ft in any light.

Opinion

One of the most unusual of maples that you either love or hate....there are no half way decisions with Shishigashira....I love it and would always have it in my garden simply for its unusual foliage and dramatic autumnal colour. A must have in my opinion.
