Pastel blue tubular flowers in spring and summer. A startling blue flower, often with a white throat. The shape is hard to describe so I wont.
Nursery Notes
Easily reproduced by division at almost anytime of the year....if you fail to succeed with corydalis you should take up knitting or basket weaving.
Opinion
A delightful and interesting plant from the Sichwan province of China, named after the famous plant loving monk and introduced over here about a hundred years ago. Excellent thing but it is what I often refer to as a 'watery' plant, inasmuch as it seems brittle at times, much like Dicentra can be. Worth having though.
