Opinion

Originally bred at Hidcote Manor just before the First World War these are the largest and most impressive of the crocosmia flowers I know. There is a sort of velvety sheen to the blooms in my opinion and they are very very gardenworthy plants. I would give this plant a winter mulch for added protection...leaf mould is effective.
