Opinion

A fine Canadian late summer perennial no garden should be without, if only for the long flowering period at a useful time of the year and the pretty recurved petals. Helenium was originally introduced to these islands in 1729, it is called sneezeweed because North American Indians used it top clear out the snot from their noses (relieve nasal congestion). t is a plant that many have had success with as a bog plant providing enough sun can be captured in its boggy position, I have never tried this however so don''t blame me if the bugger dies.
