Chartreuse central variegation turning ivory white, well margined blue-green leaves with jets or streaks spreading into the middle, the texture is puckered with a slightly rippled edge. Overall the leaf is matt to glaucous and sensitively cupped. Flowers are white with a pale lavender stripe.
Nursery Notes
Propagate by division. Lower light improves leaf colour but the plant needs regular division to keep the patterning on the leaves looking as eye-catching as it is.
Opinion
Superb hosta...one of my favourites but a bastard to bulk up. It also looses some of its maculate variegation if it gets overcrowded, which it is slow to do unfortunately. However, regular division keeps it looking good. A fantastic subject for a container also. Relatively pest resistant apart from those buggers that want a piece. Of dense habit.
