Common Name

Plantain Lily

Soil

Moist but not wet

Aspect

Full sun

Height

18 inches high x 2ft wide

Action and Timing

Chartreuse to apple green leaves with a wide yellow margin, satiny above and mildly glaucous below, they are noticeably veined with a softly undulating edge. Flowers are large, white, and very fragrant, especially in the evening

Nursery Notes

Propagate by division and grow in full sun which improves the colour

Opinion

A good fast growing host of robust constitution. While it is a hosta for sun it does require plenty of moisture at the roots. Named Hosta of the Year (USA) 1998
