Hosta 'Paradise Joyce'

Hosta 'Paradise Joyce' (Plantain Lily)

Common Name

Plantain Lily

Soil

Moist but not wet

Aspect

Full sun

Height

16 inches high x 3ft wide

Action and Timing

Yellow leafed hosta (Chartreuse in shade) with strong wide and irregular blue margins streaking towards the centre. Flowers are just about white.

Nursery Notes

Propagate by division and keep in full sun for the best colour which will be much brighter than in my image, with sun you can replace the yellow centre pictured with ivory.

Opinion

Delightful in containers and striking at the front of a border, to my mind Paradise Joyce has it all. every bit as good as the famously popular June, but different. A first rate plant.
