Action and Timing

Glaucous grey matt leaves, narrowly heart shaped with an undulating edge. Flowers are bell shaped and purple striped lavender.
 

Nursery Notes

Ideal woodland or woodland edge hosta, also for ground cover. Propagate by division. Rapid bulking form.
 

Opinion

Not popular, but in the right location very effective, I saw a woodland bank covered in this variety and it was quite stunning, especially if you like the flowers also, it was also used to edge around trees where it likewise was quite spectacular. Not one to dismiss just because at first impression it looks boring.....right plant in the right place.
