Nursery Notes

Propagated by division after flowering the most successful for me, though I have not tried seed.
 

Opinion

Great border plant, flowering over a long period throughout most of July and August. I dont necessarily put this tall item at the back of a border, it is quite effective at the front and lends a bit of drama, after all the mound of foliage is only about a third the height of the plant, it's the stately spires that do the ultimate height for a while.
